About Hot Classic Nights

In 2004, Todd Stowell decided to put together an event for the Senior Center to sell hamburgers at so they could raise some money for their "Meals on Wheels" program. After business hours at the Monte Wight Chevrolet dealership in Rigby (now Tadd Jenkins Chevrolet). Todd invited all those in the community to bring their classic cars to showcase in the parking lot after the dealership closed and "Hot Classic Nights" was born.

With a car show starting in the early evening and going through the night, spectators came out to view the classic cars that participated. Owners showed off their restored classics and beefed up engines. With the support of our amazing police department, we were even able to allow some burnouts on Farnsworth Way right in front of the dealership.

Over 50 cars showed up on that July night and well over 700 spectators.  Most of which bought hamburgers in support of the justified cause. The car show was so successful for the Senior Center that an annual show to continue to help with fundraising took shape.

A few years later Hot Classic Nights teamed up with the Midnight Muscle Car Club to incorporate an entire additional show within the classic car show.  The only place you can see 100' drag races (legally) right on the streets of Rigby.

As the years moved on, the car show grew bigger and bigger with more and more spectators showing up each year. Fast forward 18 years later and Rigby Hot Classic Nights now offers spectators over 450 classic cars, trucks and semi's. We also have sections that showcase classic tractors, vintage snowmobiles, and some of the most amazing motorcycles that you will ever see in your life.

As we continue to move forward with our dreams we look back on the 1st show and know we are blessed to be in a community that shares the same ambitions to help our Senior Center magnify their mission as they continue delivering thousands of meals every year to the home-bound seniors in need.

A HUGE THANKS to our community and  the sponsors that give us the ability to do what we love to do.  We look forward to years of car shows and thousands of dollars more generated for the "Meals on Wheels" program right here in Jefferson County.
